Who Must Serve, For How Long and the Penalty
Every PG medical seat in Karnataka now comes with a service condition — and government seats carry a separate three-year undertaking with a ₹50 lakh penalty. Know exactly which bond applies to your seat before you accept it.
Please note: bond terms are from the KEA PG Medical bulletin (2025 rules and the 2024 bond annexures). Bond rules can change — confirm the 2026 brochure before admission.

Candidates on Government seats (State quota and All India Quota) also sign an undertaking to serve the Government for three years if required, with a penalty of ₹50 lakh for a PG degree and ₹25 lakh for a PG diploma.
