First, qualify NEET UG. For Karnataka MBBS/BDS seats, eligible candidates register with KEA for the applicable state/private categories. All India Quota, central institutions and deemed-university routes are handled through MCC.
Your realistic options depend on NEET All India Rank, Karnataka eligibility, category or quota, budget, college preference and the counselling round. Management quota does not mean admission without NEET.

Check KEA →Do not treat “government”, “private”, “management” and “NRI” as interchangeable. They have different eligibility, fees and counselling rules.
Karnataka government and participating private medical/dental seats are allotted through KEA under the applicable 2026 categories and rules.
MCC conducts counselling for applicable 15% AIQ seats and other participating central / national routes.
Deemed-university MBBS/BDS counselling is handled through MCC. Fee structures can be substantially different from state government seats.
NEET qualification is still required. Eligibility, documentation and the college-wise fee can vary significantly.
The biggest fee difference is usually the seat category, not only the college name. Figures below are annual tuition references from the 2026-27 Karnataka fee cycle.
| Course / Seat Type | 2026-27 Annual Tuition Reference | What It Means | Before Paying |
|---|---|---|---|
| MBBS — Government College | ₹64,350 / year | Government-college tuition reference in the KEA 2026 fee cycle. | Check the exact allotted college and current KEA fee order. |
| MBBS — Govt Quota in Private College | approx. ₹1.54–₹1.57 lakh / year | Many private medical colleges show government-quota fees in this band. | Verify the exact college code and fee. |
| MBBS — Private Category | around ₹12,00,117 / year at many colleges | Private/open-category tuition can be much higher than government quota. | Check the official college-wise fee sheet. |
| MBBS — Management / NRI | College-specific | Some 2026-27 college listings exceed ₹40 lakh per year. | Get the complete written fee commitment, category and payment instructions. |
| BDS — Government College | ₹49,350 / year | Government dental-college tuition reference. | Confirm current KEA fee notification. |
| BDS — Govt Quota in Private College | around ₹95,308 / year | Common government-quota reference in participating private dental colleges. | Verify the exact college fee code. |
Families often search for “direct MBBS admission”. In practice, a legitimate private/management seat still requires the candidate to satisfy NEET and the applicable counselling/admission rules.
Management quota is a fee/seat category, not a bypass around NEET qualification or regulatory eligibility.
Rule first. Payment later. The same college can have very different fees for government, private, management and NRI categories.
Compare the exact seat code.If your rank still has a realistic KEA/MCC option, compare it before committing to a higher-fee seat.
Use your rank before your budget.Start with your 2026 score, AIR and category.
Separate Karnataka state/private options from AIQ and deemed-university counselling.
Complete the applicable portal registration and pay only through the official process.
Keep academic, identity, category, domicile and route-specific documents ready.
Use rank, previous cutoffs, fee, city, hospital exposure and realistic backups.
A wrong preference order can change the allotment outcome even with the same rank.
Understand reporting, upgrade, resignation and next-round rules before acting.
Follow official payment instructions and keep every receipt and admission order.
