Avoid These

NRI Quota Mistakes That Cost Candidates Their Seat

1

Late embassy paperwork

The embassy NRI certificate and the notarised sponsor declaration take time. Without them at verification, you cannot be considered for NRI seats.

2

Relationship not proved

The family tree must clearly show the blood relation to the sponsor. Names that do not match across documents cause rejections.

3

Not planning a back-up

Unfilled NRI seats can be moved to other categories in later rounds — in 2018 KEA moved 211 to the management quota. Keep management and open-quota options in your list.
