Eligibility Criteria:

  2. Entrance Exams: Many business schools and universities in India require candidates to have a valid score in national or state-level entrance examinations for MBA programs. Common entrance exams include CAT (Common Admission Test), XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test), MAT (Management Aptitude Test), CMAT (Common Management Admission Test), and SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test).
  3. Work Experience: While not always mandatory, some institutes may prefer candidates with prior work experience, especially in marketing, sales, advertising, or related fields. Work experience requirements, if any, vary between institutes.
  4. English Language Proficiency: Candidates may be required to demonstrate proficiency in the English language, especially if they come from non-English speaking backgrounds. Some institutes may accept scores from standardized English language proficiency tests such as IELTS or TOEFL.

Admission Process:


Direct Admission

Direct admissions are done either on the basis of merit list or on management quota.  Direct admission in MBA Marketing is offered by private institutes. These admissions are done on the basis of Management Quota/NRI/Sponsored seats. Direct admission for any institute only includes one round. They offer admission directly by submitting the course fee.

Admission via Entrance Test :

Application process for most of the entrance exams generally starts from July to October.  Entrance tests are held in the end of the year. CAT the most renowned test for MBA in India is held in November, XAT in January and others are also held between months November to January.  Following are some entrance tests.
